The Delaware River Waterfront Corp. plans to begin work within the next two weeks to replace the steps from the Market Street bridge down to Penn's Landing with a new pedestrian ramp.

The ramp will bring the Market Street waterfront-access point into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, DRWC spokeswoman Quinn Logan said Monday.

The project is being financed with a $625,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and city funds, Logan said. DRWC plans to complete the work in November, she said.
