The Boardroom: Philadelphia Foundation names Anthony J. Conti chair

Anthony J. Conti has become the chair of the board of managers of the Philadelphia Foundation. A board member since 2011, Conti has chaired the nominating and governance committee and is currently leading the board's strategic planning committee. He retired as a partner at PWC, Philadelphia. Conti succeeds Lawrence J. Beaser, a partner at Blank Rome L.L.P.

Conti succeeds Lawrence J. Beaser, a partner at Blank Rome L.L.P.

SolomonEdwards' managing partner Brian Markley has been named to the board of Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools. He is the firm's transaction & regulatory advisory practice leader.

Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Philadelphia, has elected Stephen W. Christian, managing director of Kreischer Miller in Horsham, Jessica (Xi) Chen, managing director with Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. in Philadelphia, and André N. McMillan, senior internal auditor with the University of Delaware, to its board.

Ursinus College, Collegeville, has elected Margaret Williams to its board of trustees. She is senior vice president for research and development for Cray Inc.

Reinvestment Fund, a Philadelphia nonprofit rebuilding distressed towns and cities through the use of capital and information, has named Saul A. Behar to its board. He is vice president and general counsel at the University City Science Center.

The Justinian Society, a legal organization of attorneys, judges, and law students of Italian ancestry founded in 1935, has elected the following: Frank N. DiMeo Jr., partner with Rosen, Schafer & DiMeo, chancellor; Gregory F. Cirillo, partner, cochair of the litigation department and an executive committee member with Dilworth Paxson L.L.P., vice chancellor; Dino Privitera, founding member and owner of Privitera & Hurley L.L.C., secretary; and Thomas H. Chiacchio Jr., owner of the Chiacchio law firm, treasurer.

The following were elected to the board of governors: Nathan J. Andrisani, a partner with Morgan Lewis & Bockius L.L.P.; Terri Anne Benedetto, a partner with Seeger Weiss L.L.P.; G. Lawrence DeMarco, partner at DeMarco & DeMarco P.C.; Brian F. George, trial attorney at Simon & Simon P.C.; and Mary T. Gidaro, an associate with Saltz Mongeluzzi Barrett & Bendesky.

Matt Tae has been named as 2016-17 president of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. He is president of Diversified Human Solutions, a Center City insurance brokerage, consulting, and human resources firm.

Stoneleigh Foundation, a Philadelphia nonprofit that seeks to improve the life outcomes of vulnerable and underserved youth, has named Henry Bernstein, senior vice president, finance, real estate services, and treasurer (retired) at the Pew Charitable Trusts, treasurer. Other board members include: Jody Greenblatt, deputy chief for climate and safety for the School District of Philadelphia; Stacy Holland, executive director of the Lenfest Foundation; and Wendell Pritchett, presidential professor of law and education at the University of Pennsylvania.

SPIN (Special People in Northeast), a nonprofit provider of support for children and adults with autism and intellectual disability in the Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley regions, has elected Frank Breslin treasurer. He currently serves as the Philadelphia revenue commissioner.

John C. Connell has been named to the board of Symphony in C, the professional training orchestra formerly known as the Haddonfield Symphony. Connell is a partner with Archer & Greiner. - Mike Zebe
