Brain center to expand

The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health has leased 17,000 square feet at Voorhees Town Center, a mixed-use development owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. The center will pay more than $5.7 million over the 15-year lease at the office and retail development, said Markeim Chalmers vice president Scott Martin, who served as broker for the pediatric neurology specialists. The facility will occupy space formerly used by a big-box retailer at the center, which also accommodates the Voorhees Township municipal offices, Martin said. The neurology center, which uses a team approach to diagnose neurological problems, will have four offices, including ones in Wall, N.J., and King of Prussia. - Jacob Adelman

Hackers take over a car

Fiat Chrysler has decided to recall about 1.4 million cars and trucks in the United States after two hackers took control of a Jeep over the Internet. The company will update software to insulate the vehicles from being remotely controlled. It also said that unauthorized remote manipulation of a vehicle is a criminal act.

The issue came public on Tuesday when Wired magazine published a story showing how its security experts remotely hacked into a 2014 Jeep Cherokee's Uconnect infotainment system as it was being driven. They disabled the SUV's engine functions and controlled interior features such as air conditioning, locks and the radio.

The recall affects vehicles with 8.4-inch touch screens, including 2013 to 2015 Ram pickups and chassis cabs and Dodge Viper sports cars. Also covered are 2014 and 2015 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee SUVs, as well as the 2015 Chrysler 200 and 300, and the Dodge Charger and Challenger. - Associated Press
