If these questions ignite your interest, sign up for The Philadelphia Inquirer's Start-Up City conference on July 14, 2015 at the Kimmel Center at 300 South Broad Street.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and costs $40 per ticket. A bundled pair of tickets costs $35 each. Happy hour is included in the price.

Business veterans from top corporations, writers and editors from the Inquirer and successful entrepreneurs will discuss Philadelphia's strengths and weaknesses in an ever-changing business environment. Conversations will be moderated by veteran reporters at The Inquirer.

A session will be devoted to leveraging the city's strengths in health and education. Philadelphia has a competitive advantage in these fields with leaders such as the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Temple University, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Thomas Jefferson University and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Start-ups will also hear how they can gain access to capital and resources.
