7 area malls close, expect to reopen Friday

The snow has caused PREIT, which owns malls in Pennsylvania and South Jersey, to close seven malls in the region:

Cherry Hill Mall; Cumberland Mall; Exton Square Mall; Plymouth Meeting Mall; Springfield Mall; Voorhees Town Center, and Willow Grove Park.

"This decision has been made in order to ensure the safety of our shoppers and employees during the storm," PREIT officials said in a statement.

The malls are expected to reopen at 10 a.m. Friday.
