To gain more visibility and space, Bernie Robbins Jewelers will relocate two of its four stores later this year - those in Newtown and St. Davids.

The Newtown store, on the outskirts of town on South Eagle Road for more than 20 years, will move to the new luxury community, The Promenade at Sycamore Street, on the site of the old Acme market near downtown Newtown. It will join Anthropologie there.

Bernie Robbins in Radnor, situated in the Radnor Hotel for more than 10 years, will relocate to Lancaster Avenue in Villanova, next to a Starbucks.

Both new stores are expected to open in the fall.

Started in Philadelphia in 1961 as an appliance and gift store, Bernie Robbins Jewelers is headquartered in Somers Point, N.J., where it has a store in addition to a fourth in Marlton. It is owned by husband and wife Harvey and Maddy Rovinsky.
