Aqua buys water systems in Ohio, North Carolina

Aqua America, Bryn Mawr, said its Ohio and North Carolina subsidiaries acquired small water systems for a total of more than $1.8 million.

Aqua America, Bryn Mawr, said its Ohio and North Carolina subsidiaries acquired small water systems for a total of more than $1.8 million.

Aqua Ohio paid $1.76 million for the assets of the Lake Mohawk and Lake Tomahawk water utilities, which serve about 3,100 people in Northeastern Ohio. Aqua North Carolina acquired the water system assets of the Honeycutt Water systems for $75,000. The systems serve about 260 people in several developments in Gaston County.
