Pa. Turnpike watchdog resigns
The top internal watchdog at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is resigning, effective April 3.
David Gentile, the turnpike commission's chief compliance officer, cited family reasons in his resignation letter to turnpike commissioners.
A former FBI agent and public school principal, Gentile had been at the turnpike post since October, 2012. Before joining the turnpike, he operated a private investigation firm, Protocol Security Partners, in Philadelphia.
No successor has been named, turnpike officials said Friday.
