Rebecca Gray and Amber Kerstetter were promoted to directors in the Strategic Relations Group at Turner Investments, an employee-owned Berwyn investment-management firm. Gray had been a manager in the group and Kerstetter an associate.

Additionally, Christopher Holmes was promoted to manager, fund administration and compliance, from senior associate, fund administration and compliance.

Jackson Lewis L.L.P., a workplace law firm in Philadelphia, elected attorney Stephanie J. Peet a partner of the firm.

The divorce and family law firm Shemtob Law P.C., Blue Bell, said Christina DeMatteo joined the firm as a partner. Previously, DeMatteo practiced family law at the Center City firm Hangely Aronchick Segal & Pudlin.

McGahey had been associate director of development at the Hammer Museum at UCLA. Clarke had been deputy director of advancement. Kip Malloy has been promoted to executive assistant to the director's office, from development associate, administrative assistant.

The Governor's Action Team, a group of economic-development professionals who work for the Office of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, has named Norman P. Hetrick Jr. director of the Southeast Regional Office and Thomas Rossomando development specialist there. The office assists businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania. Hetrick had been senior project manager for Hoffer Properties in Harrisburg and worked for four years as a business-attraction specialist for the Mayor's Business Action Team in Philadelphia. Rossomando had served as the budget director at the state Department of Community and Economic Development.

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a state-funded nonprofit that invests in technology firms, named Phoenix M. Wang director of business development for the technology commercialization group. Wang has 20 years of experience in company investment, technology growth, education, policy, and strategic public-private partnerships. She had been director of strategic investments, innovation and transformation funds, at the William Penn Foundation.

Jenna R. Millman joined Ballard Spahr's Family Wealth Management practice as of counsel in Philadelphia. She joins the firm from the New York office of Moses & Singer.

C&D Technologies Inc., a Blue Bell maker of energy-storage products and backup power systems, hired Jeff Miller as vice president, operations. He had been president of Miller Lean Realities.

Symphony Health Solutions, a Horsham medical-software company owned by Palo Alto-based strategic-equity firm Symphony Technology Group, hired Frank Lavelle as chief executive officer. He had been CEO of Siemens Medical Solutions and president of Medquist.

Lee A. Zoeller, chair of the firm's State Tax Practice at Reed Smith L.L.P., Philadelphia, was named corporate counsel for the Institute of Professionals in Taxation. Zoeller will provide services to the IPT on a pro bono basis while still maintaining his full-time practice and leadership role at Reed Smith.

Michael A. Cohen was named a partner in the East Hanover and Marlton offices of Friedman L.L.P., a midsize accounting firm.

Mercury Media, a Philadelphia online and off-line performance marketing agency, promoted Gina Pomponi to vice president, managing director from vice president, director of media, and Nikki Kearney to vice president, client service for the Short Form division, from senior director of program development.

Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia hired Caroline E. Boyce as executive director. Boyce has been serving as executive vice president of AIA Pennsylvania, a Society of the American Institute of Architects. She will replace Suzanna Barucco, a preservation consultant and Alliance board director, who is serving as interim executive director.

Carroll Engineering Corp., Warrington, said Thomas J. Fik and Jean Marie Tucker were added as shareholders. Fik is the manager of the Hillsborough, N.J., office and has been with the company since 1995. Tucker is the accounting-department manager and joined the company in 2008.

DMW Direct, a Philadelphia advertising agency, promoted Nicole Maziarz to art director from senior designer.

SugarHouse Casino promoted Leigh Whitaker to vice president of communications from director of communications. Before joining SugarHouse, Whitaker worked for the School District of Philadelphia, serving as deputy chief of staff, and before that as coordinator in the school district's Office of Government Relations.

Cadient Group, a King of Prussia provider of digital marketing services and software for the health-care industry, has hired Luke Templin as technical leader for custom solutions and Marla Dissin as human resources manager. Templin had been a technical consultant at Dollar Financial Group in Berwyn. Dissin had been human resources manager at Hamilton Lane Advisors, L.L.C., in Bala Cynwyd. - Mike Zebe
