St. Christopher's Hospital for Children has appointed

emergency department director of operations at the Philadelphia hospital, overseeing the day-to-day operations. Weiner is an attending physician, director of pediatric emergency medicine medical education, assistant professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine, and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics, Temple University School of Medicine.

RES Software, Philadelphia, has appointed Gene Bonacci vice president of channels and strategic alliances. Bonacci most recently was global vice president of strategic sales at Wyse Technology, a San Jose, Calif., company.

The Fairmount Park Conservancy, the primary private-sector fund-raising entity for Fairmount Park, has hired Kathryn Ott Lovell as executive director. Lovell joins the Fairmount Park Conservancy from the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, where she had been chief advancement officer.

Stars Within Reach Inc., a Philadelphia nonprofit organization, said Megan R. Smith had been named vice president of development. Smith, principal of Brownstone PR, will continue at that firm.

Lynn Bruder was hired as the chief executive officer of Quu Inc., a Mercer Island, Wash., radio-technology company. Bruder, who will be based in the company's Philadelphia office, had been vice president and general manager for Beasley Broadcasting's Wired 96.5. She also was the vice president and general manager for Radio One stations WPLY, WPHI, and WPPZ in Philadelphia.

AstraZeneca P.L.C., the pharmaceutical company that has U.S. operations near Wilmington, said John Yee had been named to the new role of vice president and U.S. head medical officer, responsible for overseeing all U.S. business medical-affairs activities. Yee had been vice president of global medical affairs at Genzyme Corp.

Keane, a Wayne company that offers reporting and compliance services for unclaimed property, said Pamela Wentz had joined the company as a senior manager of the unclaimed-property consulting and advisory services group. Wentz previously was at Thomson Reuters, where she specialized in quality review and staff development and training.

ParenteBeard L.L.C., a certified public accounting and business-advisory firm, said the following professionals had been promoted to manager in the Philadelphia area.

Michelle Blau is a manager in the audit practice of the Philadelphia office.

Shannon Croll is a manager in the audit practice of the Malvern office.

Jeffrey Issa is a manager in the audit practice of the Cherry Hill office.

Lisa Lau also is a manager in the audit practice of the Cherry Hill office.

Christi Ledonne is a manager in the tax practice of the Philadelphia office.

Seth Moskowitz is a manager in the small-business practice of the Cherry Hill office.
