Recent announcements about changes to the boards of directors of area organizations or involving local executives.

MileStone Bank, a Doylestown community bank, named John C. Spier to its board. He is founder and former president and chief executive officer of FirstService Bank, Doylestown.

The nonprofit Civil War & Underground Railroad Museum of Philadelphia named Seamus P. McCaffery and Jon C. Sirlin to its board of governors. McCaffery is a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and had been a Philadelphia police officer. Sirlin is managing shareholder of Sirlin Gallogly and Lesser, P.C., Philadelphia.

Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey/Quaker City, a Maple Shade community-based nonprofit organization that provides education, job training and employment services for those with disabilities and disadvantages for employment, named the following officers and members to its board:

R. Andrew Swinney, president of the Philadelphia Foundation, is chairman.

Lisa Carbone Warren, director of finance and operation at Moorestown Friends School, is vice chair.

Frank Schickling, portfolio manager and vice president of Brown Brothers Harriman, Philadelphia, is secretary.

Leslie Gordon, retired chief financial officer of A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts Inc., Berlin, is treasurer.

Reginald Long is a partner in the law firm of Love & Long L.L.P., Newark, N.J., and Philadelphia.

Frank Giordano is president of Atlantic Trailer Leasing, Vincentown.

Lynn Rosner Rauch, a partner with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox L.L.P., Philadelphia, was appointed to the board of the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children, a nonprofit educational organization.

The Southern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America, a nonprofit organization, appointed Steven D. Silverman president and a member of its board. He is vice president of operations for USAPhone.com, Cherry Hill.

George W. Gephart Jr. was named to the board of the Natural Lands Trust, a nonprofit land conservation organization that preserves land in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. He is a former partner of 1838 Investment Advisors.

The A.C.E. Mentor Program of Eastern Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia affiliate of the national nonprofit organization that encourages high school students toward careers in architecture, construction and engineering, named the following to its board:

Vincent D'Ambrosio is vice president of business development for Hill International in Philadelphia.

Joseph S. Fattore is director of market development and technical services for the International Masonry Institute, Turnersville.

Charles R. Lewis is construction/manufacturing career coordinator for the School District of Philadelphia.

Paul Reibel is senior director of business development for Skanska U.S.A. Building, Blue Bell.

Gregory C. Stewart is regional manager and senior vice president for Gilbane Building Co., Philadelphia.

Lisa Poole Deem was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry. She is an associate dean for admissions and student affairs and an associate professor of dental public health sciences at Temple's Kornberg School of Dentistry.

The Midatlantic Employers Association, King of Prussia, named Chuck Polin to its board. He is president of the Training Resource Group, Philadelphia.
