Students from the Philadelphia School District were nominated by teachers and counselors as some of the most promising students. All photos and student information were provided with permission from the Philadelphia School District.

    I can think of a few:
    It's cool to PAY YOUR PROPERTY TAXES.
    It's cool to get off your rump and go out and find a job.

    Awesome! This should be a monthly article. I have a student to nominate! Too often, the troublers get all the attention making it harder for kids in the middle to make the right choices. Who, after all gets the attention? Hooray philly.com!

    If these are Philly's mot promising students then things are worse than we thought. Shouldn't this list have kids heading to IVY league schools, starting companies and getting perfect SAT scores? Guess not.
