Answer: The main difference between millennials and everyone else is they are spontaneous. If you understand this, it can be an amazing asset in making them feel connected with your business. First of all, millennials use the latest and most relevant form of social media. From my perspective, right now, Instagram is a much better avenue to reach them than Twitter or Facebook. That is until the next one happens.
When I started doing a spur-of-the-moment Friday night family dinner in our private room at Vetri, I decided to announce it on social media at 9:00 a.m. the same morning. When I announced on Twitter, the response was mediocre. Twenty minutes later, I put the same post on Instagram and the responses lit up the answering machine. We had more than 100 messages in less than a half-hour. This is powerful stuff, and if you can harness that energy you will be able to draw them in.
