Politics prompts withdrawl of nominee to head TSA

Airline security should be a bipartisan issue in Washington but news of another development last week that I'm just now getting around to posting indicates that may not be possible these days. Erroll Southers, President Obama's nominee to head the Transportation Security Administration says he withdrew his name from consideration because Republicans had politicized his nomination. A senator who held up the nomination is worried Southers might support unionizaton of TSA employees. Read more here.
