UPDATED Haiti's main airport closed to more flights

The devastation caused by the Haitian earthquake is being widely covered by the media so I will add only information here specific to travel. The country's main airport in Port-au-Prince has been closed to additional traffic because there is no more room to park aircraft and jet fuel for outbound flights is limited. A little more about that can be found here.

Regional jet operator American Eagle managed to get three flights with relief supplies into the country before the airport closed. American also said it was offering extra frequent-flier miles to those who donate to the Red Cross for Haiti disaster relief through its AAdvantage program. Here's a page from American's Web site with more information.

UPDATE: United also has announced a matching donation program for the Red Cross, and has Mileage Plus program donation information on its Web site.
