Airlines seek more time to comply with fee-disclosure and other rules

The airlines' trade group, the Air Transport Association, has asked the Department of Transportation for a six-month delay in complying with proposed new rules for making fees more transparent on their Web sites before buying a ticket and raising compensation for being bumped from a flight. Rather than October, the airlines want the rules to take effect next April. Read more about it here ...

    Six months in order to comply about transparent rules..In other words.to tell the truth.. What about all the years the rules weren't transparent?...The airlines are getting away with murder,, other business have to comply much more quickly, Why not the airlines? are they special??
