The Federal Aviation Administration in recent years has tried several ways to make it appear to work like a corporattion, which it's not, and that included an approach to the airlines that weakened it as a regulator. A new FAA administrator now says it will stop referring to the airlines as its "customers," recognizing that the flying public is the customer.
