Meeting cancelled: Companies blame drop in business meetings on media coverage of bailouts of companies staging lavish events

The trade press has a good report today on the way that many cancellations of business meetings are being blamed on  media coverage of the few companies receiving federal bailouts that also staged lavish events at fancy resorts. The panic to avoid public criticism is hurting hotels and other places that depend on hosting groups to stay healthy, those in the business say. Here's a Travel Weekly story about the trend.
