Airline travel, air cargo both down sharply

The pain is growing for the airline industry because of the economy. Today it was the turn of the International Air Transport Association to report that traffic has fallen sharply and that its 230 members lost $8 billion in the fourth quarter of last year, up from an earlier estimate of $5 billion.
