Tornado images

The government posts before-and-after aerial photos of Joplin.

It is all but impossible for most of us to visualize the horrific damage caused by the Joplin tornado, now rated as an EF-5 on the Enhanced Fujita scale, the strongest designation possible.

This afternoon, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration posted aerial images of Joplin from before and after the tornado hit.
