Strong storms pressing eastward

POSTED: Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 5:02 PM

For most of the day, most of the storm action has been focused to the north and west, however a line of strong storms is pressing eastward.

Here is the latest radar image.

A severe-thunderstorm warning is in effect until 5:15 p.m. for parts of Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties, with 60 m.p.h. possible.

Already, at least 11,000 homes are without power, mostly in Chester and Montco, according to PECO.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. for the entire region; nothing sighted so far, however.
