So where are those thunderstorms?

For the evening commute, not much rain or drama.

Earlier in the day the forecasts for fits of heavy rain and high winds suggested the potential for disruptive trips home.

But while some places to the north and south have been pounded, the immediate Philadelphia area has been spared even the sound and fury thus far.

Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., only 0.01 inches of rain had been measured at Philadelphia International Airport, where it was raining lightly.

From here on out, the region can expect only scattered showers, with perhaps a touch of thunder, said Lee Roberston, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly. But any shower probably wouldn't last very long, he said.
