Snow record: My slip-up
Philly still 1.7 inches shy of the two-season record.
With today's official 5.2 inches in Philadelphia, the total for the last two seasons stands at 99.8.
We incorrectly stated that it represented a two-year record. In the winter of 2008-09, the seasonal total was 22.8, bumped up by to two storms that appeared to target the official measuring point in National Park.
Thus, the 2008-09, 2009-10 total was 101.5, which beat the 95.1 of 1977-78, '78-'79.
Our thanks to Tom Thunstrom, keeper of the excellent PhillyWeather.net site, for pointing out the mistake.
