Snow warning for Shore

Up to 5 inches possible; an inch or so around Philly.

In the afternoon update, the National Weather Service has issued a winter-storm warning for 3 to 5 inches of snow for parts of the Delaware coast and Cape May County.

With recent computer guidance in hand, forecasters now are confident that accumulating snow will extend inland to the I-95 corridor.

"I think you guys are going to get an inch," said Paul Pastelok, meteorologist with AccuWeather Inc.

Snow was expected to spread across the Delmarva and reach into southern New Jersey after dark and reach the immediate Philadelphia area around midnight.

That's a dramatic change from the forecasts this morning, as computer models have been pulling the snow farther northwest.

Yes, we saw a similar pattern before last week's storm, but at least in the immediate Philadelphia area, forecasters say it won't measure up to that one.
