Snow squalls

Brief, heavy snow bursts for parts of the region.

The powerful front heralding a return to frigid temperatures is setting off some snow squalls.

Bursts of heavy snow, briefly reducing visibility, have been reported in parts of the region, with pulses of snow, with near whitout conditions, is hitting areas on both sides of the river.

The National Weathers says the squalls will continue to ripple through for the next few hours.

The front has passed through the region, and its wake temperatures are taking a tumble.

The wind advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m., for gusts up to 50 m.p.h.

Snow and sleet remains in the forecasts Sunday night into Monday, but if we've learned anything this winter it's that even at the last minute sometimes you don't know what's going to happen.
