Snow forecast: A moving target

Latest call is for about an inch, but keep an eye on the forecasts.

The computer models have been consistent on two points: It's going to get colder this weekend, and precipitation is coming.

On Thursday, they appeared to be leaning toward the 1-3 or 2-4 category for snow.

But as the National Weather Service discussion notes this morning, they keep pushing back the arrival of the cold air.

Both the Weather Service and Accu-Weather are calling for about an inch in an around the city.

It appears the precipitation will start as rain tonight and then is expected go over to snow by daybreak tomorrow from west to east across the region.

We caution, however, the forecasts have been fluid, and this could all change this afternoon.
