Cool development

This has been the coolest day in over a month.

Cool development

The official high temperature at Philadelphia International Airport didn't get past 74 today, the coolest maximum since the 73 of June 18.

That brought the monthly average down to 82.8, but so far this has been one blistering month.

You may recall that last year was the warmest July on record in Philadelphia.

The monthly average for July 2011? It was 82.4.
