Bob Wanton, who joined the weather service back in the 1960s, back before even Al Gore was talking about global warming, has announced he's leaving.
In his Wednesday forecast discussion, Wanton wrote, "It's time for me to move on to my next challenge in life. ...
"... Thanks to everyone for he opporunity to serve."
We'll miss him. He is a true professional who always made time to talk even under the most extreme conditions. Besides all that, he was wonderfully quotable.
