A Santa Cruz, CA man encountered a rattlesnake in his garage and did what I’m sure any of us would have: he showed it who was boss and cut its head off. Rattlesnakes don’t know when to quit, though, and reflex movements can keep going long after death. Heads separated from the body can, and do, bite up to an hour afterwards. Nat Geo has the video.
