Will Smith performs the ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ theme on ‘Ellen’

These days, Will Smith is mostly an actor, but you wouldn’t have guessed that from his recent spate of TV appearances. After all, just days after rocking the Late Show with David Letterman and Fallon a week before that, Smith popped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to rap the intro to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

These days, Will Smith is mostly an actor, but you wouldn't have guessed that from his recent spate of TV appearances. After all, just days after rocking the Late Show with David Letterman and Fallon a week before that, Smith popped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to rap the intro to Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

"Now this is how we know if we've got real fans in the house" Smith said before breaking into the famous first lines of the Fresh Prince theme. Luckily, there were "real fans" present to rap the track back to Smith as he pointed the mic into the crowd.

Smith also sat down with Ellen to discuss among other things, his new movie, Focus, which comes out Friday. But mostly they just talked about how Will Smith doesn't think he's sexy — at least, not compared to Denzel Washington.

"It really is, it's a strange thing to be considered," he said. "When I think sexy, I look at Denzel [Washington] … Now that's a sexy man. You know, I never thought of myself in that way, so it's fun."

"I was a late bloomer," he continued. "Probably right around 26 or 27 years old, I started to fill out a little bit … I've always been skinny … But, I grew into my ears, I guess you could say."

In another exclusive online clip, Smith also performed his 1991 hit, "Summertime," which you can check out below:
