Watch: Will Smith raps ‘Gettin’ Jiggy Wit' It’ on ‘Letterman’

Ever since his appearance on "The Tonight Show" earlier this month, rumors recently have been cropping up that West Philly native Will Smith is plotting a musical comeback. And, with Smith seizing the mic on "The Late Show with David Letterman" last night, those rumors aren’t likely to stop anytime soon.

Ever since his appearance on The Tonight Show earlier this month, rumors recently have been cropping up that West Philly native Will Smith is plotting a musical comeback. And, with Smith seizing the mic on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, those rumors aren't likely to stop anytime soon.

"You can, Dave; it's in you! There's a Negro inside of you, Dave!" Smith said following the track, which he dedicated to Letterman.

"Wow, that's the best news I've had in years," Letterman replied. I gotta run home and surprise the wife!"

In addition to spitting a few bars, Smith also ran down the "Top Ten Things I'll Miss About Dave," including his "electric sexual chemistry" and "how the wind whistles through that cute little gap in your teeth."

Despite last night's rousing rendition of 1997's "Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It," Smith's musical career doesn't appear to be moving again, at least not in any concrete way. His movie career, however, is another story, with his upcoming Focus hitting theaters on Feb. 26.

Additionally, Smith will also appear later this year in Concussion, which focuses on the NFL's treatment of brain trauma suffered by players in the league.
