WATCH: NFL player gives pre-surgery pep talk to daughter

Just before Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still took his 4-year-old daughter Leah into Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Thursday morning for surgery to remove a tumor from her abdomen, he posted a heartwarming video on his Instagram.

Leah was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of children's cancer.

Later Thursday night, Still took to Instagram again to announce that surgery was successful, with the following caption:

"After a 5hr 50min surgery the surgeon was able to remove ALL of her tumor and all of her lymph nodes and her right adrenal gland where it all started from...best news I've received in a long time #PrayForLeah #GodIsGood #ThanksForYourSupport"

Still was born in Camden, N.J. and attended the Howard High School of Technology in Delaware where he was a standout football player. He then moved on to Penn State where he played under Joe Paterno. In 2012, he was drafted by the Bengals in the second round.

Despite being cut in August, the Bengals recently signed him to their practice team so that he could keep the health insurance needed for his daughter's treatments.
