VIDEO: Jon Stewart uses Schoolhouse Rock and the New York Giants to blast GOP for government shutdown

Jon Stewart is a guy who has built a career on calling out politicians for gaffs, ineptitude, systemic failures, d*** pics, and the like. So, on the eve of a looming government shutdown and all of the crap that comes with it, Stewart used his desk as a soapbox and cried into the town square about the GOP's inability to do anything properly.

Jon Stewart's Rockin' Shutdown Eve allowed The Daily Show host to make use of the New York Giants' crappy start, an old Schoolhouse Rock bit, and a brief clip of Willy Wonka to explain his stance on the Affordable Care Act, the government shutdown, and the GOP's role in this week's political fiasco.

Everything appears to have been done, literally, by the book. This bill is now a law, vetted by the very system all these Republicans profess to love. But, to hear the Republicans tell it, the whole thing could just be avoided if President Obama would just meet them halfway. There's no bridge; no divide. It's a f***ing law! I don't understand this. The bridge-divide trying time is over. Nobody's saying it's a good law, nobody's saying it's a bad law, but it's a law. Are you familiar with how the world works? Did you see the Giants game on Sunday? They lost 31-7. You know what the Giants didn't say after that game? "If you don't give us 25 more points by midnight Monday, we will shutdown the f***ing NFL!"
