VIDEO: Morning Joe's Mika Brzezinski was 'disgusted' by Miley Cyrus' VMA performance

On Sunday night, the Earth stopped rotating on its axis when Miley Cyrus ripped off her cartoon mouse number and twerked it all over Robin Thicke. So much so that, more than 12 hours later, five topics related to the fiasco were still trending on nationally on Twitter.

On Sunday night, the Earth stopped rotating on its axis when Miley Cyrus ripped off her cartoon mouse number and twerked it all over Robin Thicke. So much so that, more than 12 hours later, five topics related to the fiasco were still trending on nationally on Twitter.

Reactions to the performance ranged from "ugh" to "hawt." Miley somehow even managed to make Will Smith and his celebu-family more notable thanks to their wonderful facial expressions during the show.

And then, earlier today on MSNBC's Morning Joe, host Mika Brzezinski weighed in on the performance with a bevy of eye rolls before lecturing her guests and America while accusing Miley Cyrus of suffering from confidence issues and an eating disorder.

"I think that was really, really disturbing. That young lady, who is 20, is obviously deeply troubled, deeply disturbed, clearly has confidence issues, probably eating disorder and I don't think anybody should have put her on stage. That was disgusting and embarrassing … That was not attractive. That was not fun. That was not funny. That was really, really bad for anybody who's younger and impressionable and she's really messed up … The whole thing was cringe worthy but I feel bad for her. She is a mess. Someone needs to take care of her. Someone needs not to put her on stage and make a complete fool of herself." [h/t BuzzFeed]
