The Daily Show's Jon Stewart will be taking the summer off to film a film adaptation of the story of Iranian Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari, who was imprisoned and tortured in Tehran following Iran's 2009 presidential election. So, on Thursday, Stewart said goodbye to his viewers, outlining his summer plans and passing the torch, if you will, to The Daily Show's John Oliver, who will fill in as host in Stewart's absence.

Oh, and Stewart also explains that, while imprisoned, Bahari was interrogated about his involvement with an "American spy." That "American spy" is The Daily Show's Jason Jones. Jason Jones is Canadian.
