New Jersey Governor Chris Christie got The Daily Show treatment last night when Jon Stewart spent a segment getting all teary-eyed about missing the winding country roads and pizza farms of his hometown in the Garden State. Stewart goes on to analyze Governor Christie's decision to hold a special election in October to fill New Jersey's vacant Senate seat in the wake of the death of Senator Frank R. Lautenberg.

He uses audio from 2009, in which Governor Christie says that holding a special election in the case of the death of Senator Lautenberg would be irresponsible.

"It's just hard to see a corrupt abuse of power and not think about home," Stewart says.
