On Friday morning, Bullet Catcher—had had enough. The four-year-old gelding was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So, after a morning workout in Laurel, Maryland, Bullet Catcher tossed his jockey and broke free down U.S. Route 1.
The jockey, Abel Castellano, managed to catch some video of the horse galloping down the busy road.
The horse made it more than a mile and a half before being caught, uninjured, and returned to his stable. Bullet Catcher must have been so excited he could barely sit still or hold a thought in his head. It's probably the excitement only a free horse could feel. He may not have seen his friend to shake his hand, but we hope that Route 1 was as bleak and gray as it had been in his dreams. [Brisnet.com]
