VIDEO: Colbert profiles openly gay Kentucky mayor destroying small-town America

Aside from an incredibly interesting interview with House of Cards' Kevin Spacy on Wednesday, Stephen Colbert also dedicated an entire segment to lambasting the stereotypes of the people of rural Kentucky. Johnny Cummings is the openly gay mayor of Vicco, Kentucky and he recently fought to pass a fairness ordinance that prohibits citizens from evicting tenants or denying people service based on their sexual orientation.

To say that the segment is enlightening and wonderful would downplay its simultaneous hilarity. Watch it, laugh, and have your faith in people restored.
