A Piers Morgan guest is  making waves on the Internet again, thanks to a segment on yesterday's show, during which Breitbart editor at large Ben Shapiro rips into Morgan for his actions in wake of the Newtown, Connecticut massacre. Shapiro accuses Morgan of "standing on the graves of the children of Sandy Hook" to demonize people who disagree with him politically.

Shapiro also brought a copy of the Constitution, which he offered to Morgan as a gift. They debate which political measures are necessary in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre including a theoretical ban on assault weapons and better screening for mental illness.

Earlier this week, the people took notice of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' segment on Morgan's show because Jones went off on Morgan, yelling over him about "suicide mass murder pills."

At one point, Morgan references Alex Jones and Shapiro responds with an emphatic, "Don't lump me in with Alex Jones."

During the segment, Morgan references the Constitution by calling it Shapiro's "little book."

Morgan and Shapiro also take time to discuss the left vs. right nature of the gun control issue after Morgan reads a letter penned (in part) by Ronald Reagan.

The US Army will be no more once the deserters realize what they're doing. Moreover, I'd rather die a nobel death of resistance than live like a coward like you.

Can't wait for your "nobel" death. No doubt it will be an award winner.

Oh, I'm sure if it ever comes to it you'll die like a snake in your little snake hole.

I volunteer teddybear to "talk down" active shooters from now on. Please get to the location unarmed go in and talk to them. We need you now. Maybe if you had been on scene you cold have talked to these crazy people. This may have been the dumbest statement ever! The reason the had to talk him down was because that was all they had. None of them were armed. They did a nice job but try that with most shooter and you will be dead. Get a clue.

I rolled my eyes with amazement when the NRA, Faux Rush and beck... had to remind us that sandy hook was not the biggest school masacure in history. (some guy with a bomb holds the record) You gun nuts still continue to amaze me.

Obviously piers morgan is a lightweight when it comes to discussing the issues intelligently. Anyone can come up with an emotional narrative and use the deaths at the school as a crutch when the facts don't add up for them.

And Faux, Rush, Beck... used the chinese guy who used a knife in a school the same day as Sandy Hook as their main comeback. You can't make this lunacy up!

Just like taxes-the people who want them raised should volunteer their money and their guns

Those that live by the gun will die by the gun. Hopefully I'll be out of this crazed country when all hell breaks loose (like it's starting to do).

The Gospel says "sword". If you're going to take the Bill of Rights literally, you better take the bible literally, too. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Piers Morgan is terrible. He's the Rush Limbaugh of the left. I just want news. You don't have to sensationalize or add your opinions.

Completely agree! Except for the fact that Piers is on CNN (a real news outlet), really has nothing vested in the USA since he isn't a citizen, invites the opposition to his views on his show for a civilized debate, and can appreciates preserving life over wealth. But otherwise, spot on.

So a document written 200 years ago that could not possibly understand the realities of the time period it now resides in is the ultimate gospel and shouldn't be touched even the slightest to make it applicable to our current society?

The founding fathers would call you a blithering fool.

You know what the difference is between the people who wrote the constitution and the politicians of today? Lobbyists. The founding fathers didn't have lobbyists...they looked for opportunity and freedom of oppression. Not millions of dollars for public service, kickbacks, and handouts.

I believe in this country and I am very proud to be an American. It means Being born in this country means I potentially have a better life path than most people in the world and can make something of myself. But I'm not going to fully support a document that was written over 200 years that is going to define my life today. It just isn't applicable in some formats.

No question. Boggles the mind that people dont believe in common sense interpretation and adjustment for current times. Bearing arms was a musket...and they wanted a well regulated (trained) militia of the people IN SUPPORT OF the government to "secure a free state" from outsiders/enemies (british etc) ......the interpretation being about securing a free state from a US tyrannical govt is a stretch. (why would they want to arm citizens for the purpose of overthrowing the own govt they were part of? Even with that interpretation This nonsensical paranoia about tyranny today is laughable. As is the notion that an assault rifle, high capacity magazine or less than adequate back ground checks is our "protection" against our current miltary firepower.
