Two Colombian news sources have reported that Disney and Pixar are planning to release Toy Story 4 in 2015. The report also indicates that Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack will all reprise their roles in the franchise's fourth installment. Inquisir writes:
Jorge Luis Balaguera, the entertainment coordinator for Radio Station RCN, writes on Twitter:
“In 2015, Pixar will release Toy Story 4, the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack confirmed for the main characters.”
Thus, "Toy Story 4" was trending internationally on Twitter on Tuesday. Pixar hasn't weighed in on Twitter from @DisneyPixar and Disney's U.S. offices haven't issued a statement confirming or denying the reports.
BuzzFeed went ahead and broke down the top four reasons that the "Colombian reports" are really just a false rumor.
Tom Hanks had previously hypothesized that there would be a fourth Toy Story, Last summer he was quoted as saying, “I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah, think they’re working on it now. There you go.”
The original Toy Story hit theaters in 1995. Its first sequel came out four years later. Toy Story 3 was released in 2010 and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.
As excited as we all might have been about the prospect of a fourth Toy Story, please keep in mind that the last film had us all sobbing uncontrolably in public, and I'm not sure we can all take that kind of emotional trauma a second time around. [Inquisitr]
