Tina Fey and Amy Schumer share an onstage kiss at the Peabody Awards in New York

Amy Schumer accepted a Peabody Award at Sunday's New York ceremony, but judging by her acceptance speech last night, her real prize was something else entirely: Tina Fey.

The two actually shared a kiss Sunday night following Fey's suggestion that she might, "in a Madonna kind of way," make an attempt to "feed off of [Schumer's] youth." Schumer, for her part, was being honored for her work on Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer.

"Amy Schumer is killing it right now, as the agents like to say," Fey said Sunday night. "I really wanted to come down here tonight, and in a Madonna kind of way, try to, like, feed off of her youth and maybe suck her soul out in a very awkward, staged lesbian kiss."

From there, the kiss heard throughout the comedy world emerged, with the Daily Mail describing it as "a light peck at a respectful distance" that evolved into "a passionate make-out session." So, classy — especially considering that it ended with a hearty high-five.

Unfortunately, video of the kiss has yet to hit the web, though Pivot and Getty were on hand to nab some photos:

Previously, Schumer featured Fey on Inside Amy Schumer alongside Patricia Arquette and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for a skit dubbed "Last F---able Day."

"Well, nobody overtly tells you — but there are signs," Fey quipped on Inside Amy Schumer. "You know how Sally Field was Tom Hanks' love interest in Punchline and then like 20 minutes later, she was his mom in Forrest Gump?"

Shortly before that skit premiered in April, Comedy Central renewed Inside Amy Schumer for a fourth season. The show airs Tuesdays as 10:30 p.m.
