Jake Freivald runs westorange.info. The domain hosts a bare-bones website dedicated to providing basic information about West Orange, New Jersey. It's got a small map of New Jersey with West Orange pointed out. It also features a brief list of other local blogs and news sites. This page hardly qualifies as a functioning website.

The attorney representing West Orange Township doesn't see it that way, though. Richard D. Trenk, Township Attorney, fired off a cease-and-desist letter to Freivald, claiming that westorange.info is an "effort by [Freivald] to confuse and conflate the Township's official domain name and Web site with the Info Domain that [Freivald] maintain[s]."

This is the township's website.

Instead of just shutting up shop and calling it a day, Freivald hired himself an attorney, Stephen B. Kaplitt, who seems to have taken great pleasure in responding to the township's cease-and-desist letter.

This, boys and girls, is how you stick it to the man. [Localforums.org, h/t Uproxx]
