That guy from 'The Big Bang Theory' won Louis C.K.'s Emmy

Jim Parsons, that guy from The Big Bang Theory, won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series because life is awful and we all die alone. Parsons has been nominated for five consecutive years. Seriously. Five years.

He took home the Emmy much to the chagrin of everyone, ever, as 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin and Louie's Louis C.K. were also up for the award, but left empty-handed. Louis C.K. was up for Best Directing in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, and Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He didn't win any of them.

Technically, he's got another shot at some hardware because his show is up for Best Comedy Series, but that's all but already been awarded to 30 Rock, as it has left the air for good. Sad face all around, you guys.
