Taylor Swift tops 'Maxim Hot 100' list

You may be experiencing a Taylor Swift overload, but, apparently, the pop culture decision-makers of the world most certainly are not.

You may be experiencing a Taylor Swift overload, but, apparently, the pop culture decision-makers of the world most certainly are not.

Right on the heels of winning eight Billboard Music Awards, including her second Woman of the Year Award and boosting her total a record breaking 20 awards, Swift was named the No. 1 hottest woman on the Maxim's 2015 "Hot 100" list.

Interestingly, no mention of Swift's physical appearance is made in the Maxim write-up and Q&A with the music icon. Instead, Swift is spotlighted for being "the world's most relevant and intriguing woman," having a stellar career year and even her more recent feminist declarations.

"To me," Swift says in the Maxim interview, "feminism is probably the most important movement that you could embrace, because it's just basically another word for equality."

When asked about her feelings concerning the having the honor of the "Hottest Woman" title bestowed upon her by the publication, Swift simply says, "It's really nice and such an incredible compliment…. It really feels like a wonderful celebration of my favorite year."

Past Hot 100 No. 1's include Candice Swanepoel in 2014, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 2011, and Eva Longoria in 2005 and 2006. Maxim's June/July issue will hit magazine stands on May 27.
