Student hacks FSU network, redirects everyone to porn site

A 26-year-old Florida State University Panama City student, Benjamin Blouin, faces felony charges after allegedly hacking into the school's Internet network and redirecting all users to a porn website. Users who visited the school's sites on March 1st were automatically redirected to a site that shows two men having sex.

FSU PC director of advancement Becky Kelly issued a statement about the incident indicating the school had shut down public access to the wifi network and implemented system upgrades. Users will be required to login to the use the network.

Blouin said that’s what he wanted all along.

“That’s how it should be,” he said Monday night. “That’s how it is on every campus.”

Blouin said that he had tried to talk to school administrators about the network's lack of security since last year. He also claims that he used an app that automatically selected the porn site as the default destination for redirected users. [The News Herald]
