Street artist Kid Hazo posts list of 'popehibited' items in South Philly

Street parodist Kid Hazo has finally weighed in on the long-awaited papal visit, as he is typically wont to do with Philadelphia's most notable cultural events.

And it's just in time, too. With the Philly portion of Pope Francis' first U.S. visit finally upon us, this list of Hazo-certified "popehibited" items ought to be pretty helpful. Especially considering it is posted right across from — where else? — the Pub on Passyunk East, or P.O.P.E.:

Created by Hazo alongside Indy Hall's Adam Teterus and Geekadelphia Editor-in-Chief Mikey Illagan, the list puts a blanket ban on universal evils like Guy Fieri Hair and Nickelback. However, visitors should note that there is a gray area somewhere, with only "most M. Night Shyamalan films" being banned.

Looking at the actual prohibited items signage, Hazo appears to have aped the style just about perfectly. For comparison, here is an official banned items sign posted at 3rd and Spruce:

Another piece posted nearby by the P.O.P.E., meanwhile, depicts a caution-style sign that Hazo has dubbed "Pope Crossing":

"City dropped the ball on the road signage," the street artist writes of the sign on Instagram, "so I had to pick up the slack."

Which is good, of course. Though, perhaps too little too late.
