Queen Latifah cancels Bill Cosby interview

Queen Latifah has canceled an appearance by Philly funnyman Bill Cosby on her show, the Queen Latifah Show, following the resurfacing of accusations of sexual assaults in a bit by comedian Hannibal Buress. As TMZ reports, Latifah's producers apparently just "didn't want the association."

Buress used the bit earlier this month at a Philadelphia date, saying that Cosby has the "smuggest old black man persona." As per Philly mag:

"It's even worse because Bill Cosby has the f---in' smuggest old black man persona that I hate," Buress said. "He gets on TV, 'Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the 80s! I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom!' Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches."

Cosby, for his part, has never been charged with sexual assault, though 13 women have accused him of rape throughout his career. He did, however, settle out of court in one instance in 2006.

That, however, doesn't seem to be good enough for Queen Latifah. A second guest, Jon Cryer, will reportedly still make an appearance.
