President Obama squeezed in a few rounds of golf this weekend, during his trip to Florida. Sunday morning he was joined at The Floridian by a one Tiger Woods. Maybe you've heard of him?

POTUS and Tiger golfed together for the first time and (most of) the press wasn't there to catch it. The White House press corps is not thrilled that they were left off the list. President of the White House Correspondents Association, Ed Henry, issued a statement on the snub (which has been posted by Politco)

"Speaking on behalf of the White House Correspondents Association, I can say a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV have today expressed extreme frustration to me about having absolutely no access to the President of the United States this entire weekend," Henry said in a statement, relayed in a White House pool report. "There is a very simple but important principle we will continue to fight for today and in the days ahead: transparency."

President Obama and Tiger Woods were joined by U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Floridian owner Jim Crane for the round. Golf Digest senior writer Tim Rosaforte was at The Floridian in Palm City, where he managed to get the exclusive scoop.

"Just to see the interaction between the two on the range was pretty neat," said Harmon, who was on the tee. "The President said to Tiger, 'The last tournament you played was fun to watch. It's good to see you play well again.' You could tell he meant it. It just wasn't a throw it out compliment."

Neither President Obama nor Woods commented on the round after they finished. But, Woods reportedly holed out of a bunker for birdie early on and POTUS stuck around and played an extra nine afterward. [Golf Digest]

Nutburgers - great comment. Reagan cleared enough brush to level California during his numerous vacations and Bush 2 took a record number of days off to dress up like a cowboy and reread , "My Pet Goat." Does anyone really begrudge any President from taking some time off, especially a President like Obama who takes responsibility for his actions and who does not take as many vacation days as recent R presidents.

No No No. - Iraq War, economic downturn, and huge tax cuts while starting two wars and continuing to expand domestic programs were Bush 2's doing. You might not like it but it is a FACT. You are welcome to your own opinion not your own facts.
