Persistent South Jersey teen attempts to get Obama selfie at recent Camden stop

President Obama may have passed through Camden Monday afternoon to laud the city’s policing as “a symbol of promise for the nation,” but one New Jersey woman has something else in mind for the stop: A selfie with the president — no matter what.

President Obama may have passed through Camden Monday afternoon to laud the city's policing as "a symbol of promise for the nation," but one New Jersey woman has something else in mind for the stop: A selfie with the president — no matter what.

As you can see, the young lady in the video above — Collingswood resident Julia Cappelli, daughter of Camden County Freeholder Louis Cappelli — makes three failed attempts at a selfie throughout President Obama's Camden stop, with her target moving through the crowd the entire time. Which maybe is not the easiest setting to grab a selfie with the leader of the free world, but there you have it.

That, however, is where persistence comes in. Cappelli ultimately got her shot on the fourth try, even with a President Obama who seems particularly uninterested in helping out in this situation.

And, judging by the final outcome of Cappelli's labor, it appears to have all been worth it:

So, please, let this be a lesson: When it comes to what you want, never give up on trying to get it. You might just get lucky.

And, hey, if not, at least it'll still make a pretty good Instagram post.
