Pat’s and Geno’s managers weigh in on Eagles signing of Tim Tebow

While the cheesesteak mavens at Pat’s and Geno’s in South Philly are perpetual mortal enemies, there appears to be one thing they agree on: The Eagles signing Tim Tebow makes no sense.

While the cheesesteak mavens at Pat's and Geno's in South Philly are perpetual mortal enemies, there appears to be one thing they can agree on: The Eagles signing Tim Tebow makes no sense.

Gossip site TMZ caught up with the managers of Pat's and Geno's, Tommy Francano and Anthony Rossi, respectively, to get their thoughts on the deal that currently has all of Philadelphia abuzz. And, perhaps not surprisingly, they are less then pleased.

Via TMZ:

Anthony from Geno's -- "We're all very confused by this whole off-season. Last time I checked you have to be able to throw in order to be a successful QB."

Tommy from Pat's -- "We can only play one QB at a time, and now we have one that hasn't played since 2012!? Does he still know how to play? I don't know where Chip Kelly is going with this one."

Despite the relatively negative response to Tebow's signing, TMZ does note that the cheesesteak shop managers wish him "nothing but the best" and promise to give him "a free sando" when he swings by their corner of Passyunk. Which, admittedly, is a pretty good deal for the former Jets quarterback.

But for the Eagles? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.
